Quantitative-Genetic Evaluation of Resistances to Five Fungal Diseases in A Large Triticale Diversity Panel (×Triticosecale)

چکیده
The man-made cereal triticale was fully resistant to the biotrophic diseases powdery mildew, leaf rust, yellow and stem rust from its introduction in Europe mid-1970s until about 1990. In following years, new races that were able infect at least some genotypes developed all four pathogen populations, resistance breeding came into focus. Here, we analyzed 656 winter cultivars 12 countries for these Fusarium head blight (FHB) up 8 location-year combinations (environments). FHB ratings corrected plant height heading stage by comparing three statistical methods. Significant (p < 0.001) genetic variances found resistances with moderate high entry-mean heritabilities. All traits showed a normal distribution, exception of where skewed towards resistance. There no substantial correlations among five disease (r = −0.04 0.26). However, several detected multi-disease rating below average simultaneously. future, such must be selected primarily cope future challenges less pesticide use global climate change.

During five subsequent growing seasons field experiments were carried out at the experimental farm of the University College Ghent (Belgium) to evaluate the selectivity and efficacy of herbicides for chemical weed control in triticale (x Triticosecale Wittmack). The experiments were set up on a sandy loam soil, according to a completely randomised block design with four replications. Several he...

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
Adult Plant Development in Triticale (× Triticosecale Wittmack) Is Controlled by Dynamic Genetic Patterns of Regulation
Many biologically and agronomically important traits are dynamic and show temporal variation. In this study, we used triticale (× Triticosecale Wittmack) as a model crop to assess the genetic dynamics underlying phenotypic plasticity of adult plant development. To this end, a large mapping population with 647 doubled haploid lines derived from four partially connected families from crosses amon...
متن کاملEvaluation of crossability between triticale (X Triticosecale Wittmack) and common wheat, durum wheat and rye.
Development of transgenic triticale as a platform for novel bio-industrial products is predicated on an environmental biosafety assessment that quantifies the potential risks associated with its release. Pollen-mediated gene flow to related species and conventional triticale varieties is one pathway for transgene movement. A tier 1 quantification of triticale hybridization was conducted by emas...
